POAWW FORUM WAS HELD TUESDAY OCTOBER 29: HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED!!

The Forum’s format included an opening Pule by Halau Ku Mana and Imai Winchester gave a forceful introduction in Hawaiian. Winston Welch of The Outdoor Circle was our Master of Ceremonies and conducted the introduction of our 11 individual presentations:

Besides the presenters, we also had 30 informational stations set up, all offering details of the presenters subjects and Much More. We had about 300 people between presenters, volunteers and attendees. City Council Members Pine, Koybayashi, Fukunaga and Waters attended and stayed the whole time. They thanked us for holding our forum and seemed pleased. State Legislators Say & Kobayahsi were in attendance as well as State Senator Taniguchi from Manoa. Senator Ihara was out of town and let us know he would have attended. Jeff Herzog of the US Army Corps of Engineers was in attendance as was Robert Au, Deputy Head of Budget and Finance. There were representatives from the OCEANIT Group which is currently working with the City councel Permitted Interaction Group regarding public input into project alternatives.
